The survey has found that low levels of physical activity (75%) and obesity (74%) were the most noticeable factors impacting the health of Cardi Health users. 28% reported having food allergies, 15% had diabetes, and only 6% said they smoke.

Even though diabetes was not as common as other factors mentioned in the survey, it’s still a very dangerous comorbidity that can accelerate the development of cardiovascular issues.

It’s vital for people with diabetes to see a doctor regularly. Diabetes damages the nerves, and those diagnosed with it should be checked out as soon as possible to avoid severe complications.

Smoking is the second factor that is surprisingly low on the list. Its prevalence may have declined because most people with heart health problems either do not smoke, have already quit, or prefer to keep this information private.

This finding correlates with the decline in the popularity of smoking in the United States. The CDC reports that about 20.9% of American adults smoked in 2005, compared to 12.5% in 2020.

Smoking has a terrible effect on your heart health. It’s refreshing to see that people who seek to improve their health are already taking steps to get rid of this habit.
